Broadcasters and Broadcast Network Providers want their contents to be received by handheld terminals, e.g. Mobile Phones, Tablets, or in cars. LTE based 5G Broadcast may offer such a possibility in 3GPP release 16. One important question to be asked is: Are “conventional” broadcast suitable for this purpose? The presentation will present a few examples using Broadcast Infrastructure where High Power High Tower sites are complemented smaller sites to provide reception to handheld terminals.
